However, in the last year, many postgraduates are so lucky to find better jobs, to get higher salary, no matter what he or she learned in the three year of postgraduate life. Maybe this good phenomenon will last for about five years for postgraduates.
There are several reasons to support my opinion.(解释原因)
First, the policy Chinese government made in 1999 that Universities admitted many more students is wrong so that college graduates are much more difficult to find better jobs. On the contrary, postgraduates have some kind of abilities to meet the demands of corporations. So, it seems that postgraduates could have better salary. (第一方面的原因是:国家在1999年制定的大学扩招的错误导致大学生暴增,大学毕业生找工作困难,而研究生相对来说更符合企业的要求,找工作相对容易。)
Second, it is well-known that in 2008, global financial crisis has influenced all the countries in the earth. China did not escape from it either. We know that in eleventh five-year plan in our country, lots of small companies product cheap goods, such as clothes and shoes, to sell to foreign countries. On the condition, it is unnecessary to employ postgraduates to serve for them. However, after global financial crisis, foreign countries have not so much money to buy Chinese cheap goods. So the small companies have lower and lower profits. If they don’t change the way they worked, they will lose in the fierce competition. Meanwhile, the central government has also realized this problem. So, it has supported the companies to change from labor intensive to knowledge intensive. What`s more, government has realized that it is essential to innovate, to depend on ourselves to recover our economy. Stimulating expenses is the only way to save our economy when foreign countries have lower demands. However, innovating needs talented person. Furthermore, the government realized postgraduates are talented people. In order to achieve their goal of innovation, they decide to reduce tax to stimulate the companies to accept many postgraduates to join them. And we all know that the only aim of companies is profits. Then the companies accept the policy. Let me give you an example. If the number of postgraduates in a company is more than fifty percent, government will cut 20% of the tax. If the tax is ten million RMB, the company will keep 2 million to themselves. That is a huge number. And the company just pay you 0.06 million RMB on average. From the figures, we could know why they hire postgraduates.(第二方面,2008年金融危机之前,我国小型企业以生产廉价商品出口到外国去卖,不需要很多研究生;但是在金融危机之后,外国市场购买力下降导致我国小型企业生产的便宜的东西卖不出去,为了不倒闭,必须转型,加之国家也意识到这个问题,在第十二个五年计划中,提出要加快企业转型来保持中国的经济持续增长,而企业转型需要的是人才,研究生被企业认为是人才资源,所以,国家要鼓励企业吸纳研究生人才进入企业内部以加快转型,但是企业的本质是追求利润,因此,国家采取减税的来鼓励企业吸纳研究生。这才是研究生找工作很简单的最重要的原因,并不是研究生真的很有水平。)
Conclusions could be made from above, it is not the way that postgraduate are more capable of doing something, but the way that the government has reduces the tax if the company has more postgraduate. So we will know what we can do now. Not just playing computer games in dormitory, not playing basketball or football all day on the ground, not just reading books in library, but working harder and harder to combine practice with theory. If you really have ability to meet the demands of company, they would pay you more salary and they will.
Finally, I will say that no matter what kind of policies government has made, working harder to combine theory with practice and looking for truth is never out-of-date.
