drafting_in_robcad

1.Purpose:

to extract a top view of a robcad cell in dxf format

2.How to create

2.1 create a template (this is not necessary)

* open an empty component in robcad with a convenient name: for exemple a0_scale1_1* go to the drafting module in robcad and click on drawing new

* fill in the following:

* then choose the sheet size and the scale

fill in a letter and press enter,then you can

choose

* save the component and close it.

* create under the library root /usr/Robcad/LIBRARIES the following directory: DRAWING_TEMPLATES

move the component a0_scale1_1.co to this directory

* now you have created a template which can be used in the drafting module

2.2 create a drawing from a top view

* open your cell from which you want to create the view * go to the drafting module and click on drawing new by template and accept

depending on what you have selected under the template he opens a new window with the template settings (if NONE is selected, you have sheet size A4h and scale 1:1)

* You have created now the drawing dr1

* create now the view you want by clicking on new, by position:

5000 is maximum

You have created now a view in the drawing dr1

You have to zoom

(alt and left mouse button)

to see something

*After zooming

fit the view

this can be solved by adapting this under:

adapt this till it fits in the window

click in the red square

The scale you select here, is the scale from the dxf drawing

After scaling and recentering it fits

click first on Format to define which format you want
