The difference of campus culture between China and the western 

In America, when you come into the universities you can know it had been built for several hundreds years, from the ancient buildings, even which some of had ever been churches. But, in china there are buildings as tall as these located in the CBD of the city, only a few universities have old building like Tsinghua and peking university. We can owe this difference to that Chinese universities are very younger than those in England an America .

Besides ,may be all of the universities in the world are not as large as Chinese and in the same time there also are not universities are as crowded as in China .as is known to all, about twenty percents of the people all of the world live in china .

The above feelings all come from how the universities look. The following are some comparisons between the people in the universities. As a university its mission is to let his students get high education, gain abilities to construct their countries and live a comfortable life. The most important thing is to give their students right logical method of thinking fit to different person and teach you how to see the world, how to see the other people and how to see yourself.

To get their goals different schools take different ways. The universities in china focus more on theory, opposite, foreign schools prefer paying more attention to doing by hands to theory. In my opinion, one of the reasons is that the level of educational resource in china is more less than that in the western countries. For example, in oxford a teacher only have ten students, but in china if only our teachers missed their microphone home, the result is that he could not be heard by quite a lot of students clearly, because in front him about one hundred of students sitting. Even western countries’ teaching approach is better than Chinese , because through doing practice in the universities, students can fit to their work quickly. But Chinese method just matches to its situation in the present. We do not have enough money，labs, advanced equipment, teachers, etc. I believe, as the development of china, they can do it yet, one day.

Once more, in the universities foreign students mainly doing things up to their interests, but in china students are used to depend on the books, so in the western class, you will have a sense of noisy. Students stand up to speak out their own opinion. They are making a great argument with other students. Even some students suspect what their teachers say .  Then, they speak out their excuses and what they stand for, without hesitation . Chinese students may feel this can not be imagined , but in the western world ,it is very common just like that students just can say “ yes” to the teachers in the class, in addition ,they treat the theory on the book as standard. This also can explain why Chinese people link off creation, compared to the western people . In the western universities students are inspired to create and to invent on a basis of their interests. They give their students chances if only they want to do that. Of course , they have enough money and advanced labs which is very necessary to make creation and invention , while in china students just learn the theory and do some simple experiments. Well in this time Chinese students have go behind the western students. When students graduated four years later from universities ,western students have own the most science knowledge and also some quite skilled experience to work or to make invention, while Chinese students only have theory knowledge. This is very terrible.

There is another big difference between the two places. In the western or some other countries famous universities generally are founded by some private people, opposite the famous universities in china always founded by the government and those private schools are hard to be admitted by the public. But in the foreign countries universities mainly admit students who cant afford to the expensive files going into a famous private school and students can not admitted by private schools.

Now ,China is making students changes with some countries . I think there will be more in the future. By making students changed ,two sides will have a deep knowledge of each other. Changed students take their changed experience to their country, at the same time the foreign students around him will know something from him. They are the connect bridge connecting the two unfamiliar campus, even two countries. By communication of this style , no matter china nor the other side will learn a host of useful experience and aware of the disadvantages that themselves exist. For example , comparing the matriculate in china and the matriculate in America , we will find that when a students want to attend Harvard ,just have a good score is not enough to be admitted , in addition he must have good performance in high school including scores ,PE music etc, then the universities will give you a face to face text. While in china your fat will be determined by just score that you get from a text, the college examination.

That is not hard to see that American universities pick out students that perform good at all apart, while Chinese universities just take score as a principle that students will head for the universities’ standard of matriculation especially in the countries like China ,in which the competition going to the universities is very heavy. In that case students will tend to just seek high scores so that they forget the improvement of other apart. In addition schools pick out students just on a basis of a text is not so fire ,because some students may be have learned enough knowledge, but all of a sudden he come across something just like a heavy sick so he can not get a satisfactory score. May be American schools’ action give a model for us to learn.

By comparing with American schools, we find our students are not as good as American students in creation and invention. Even though our university can not do like American, because we do not have enough money. But now we must have the aware to improve the environment of invention and creation.

We Chinese students also should be proud of. We also are intelligent .we obey the role. We work hard to learn. Our learning emergency is very good, but a lot of violence accidents happened in America.

All in all, this above are some difference between western university and Chinese university.
