一.纯空格题技巧

【技巧一】人称代词---当句子缺主语或者宾语时，很可能是填人称代词。

 （例一）I can send a message to Kenya whenever I wanted to, and ________gets there almost in a second. (缺主语，填代词)

  （例二）He asked his teacher, “Sir, the water was awful. Why did you pretend to like _________?” （缺宾语，填代词）

【技巧二】限定词---在名词或“形容词+名词”前，填限定词（指冠词、形容词性物主代词，不定代词等）。

  （例三）A young man, while traveling through a desert, came across a spring of clear water. ________ water was sweet.(冠词)

  （例四）The head of the village was tying up his horse to my cat to pull it to ________ small town some 20 kilometers away where there was a garage. 

  （例五）It is said that a short-tempered man in the Song Dynasty(960-1279) was very anxious to help _______ rice crop grow up quickly.

(形容词性物主代词) 

【技巧三】介词---当空格后的名词或动名词不是做主语、表语也不是作动词的宾语时，应为介词的宾语，故填介词。

          此时，要根据搭配的需要或句意的需要，如动词与介词的搭配，介词与后面名词的搭配等来确定具体哪个介词。

   (例六) The new boy looked at the teacher _________ a few seconds. （介词）

【技巧四】关联词----当空格前后都是句子且这两个句子之间没有关联词时，填关联词。关联词包括连词和从句引导词，要根据具体句意而定。

（例七）He was very tired after doing this for a whole day, ________ he felt very happy since the crop did “grow” higher.

形容词和副词的最高级/比较级

【技巧一】谓语动词---当句子缺少谓语时，括号内的动词就作为谓语动词。要根据该词与主语的关系，确定主动语态还是被动语态，再根据上下文以及句子中的标志性词汇确定时态，并注意主谓一致的，有时候甚至用到虚拟语气。

(例一) In Logan, three people ________ (take) to a hospital, while others wer treated at a local clinic. 

(例二) That was definitely not an attractive idea so I politely declined her invitation, _________(close) my book and walked away.

【技巧二】非谓语动词---当句子中已有谓语动词又没有并列连词。若是非谓语动词就要用doing，done形式，或是to do的形式。非谓语动词的形式一定要考虑他与逻辑主语之间的关系。

(例三) He suddenly appeared in class one day, __________(wear) sun glasses.

(例四) ……Lessons ________(learn) in sports can help us in our dealing with other people.

【技巧三】比较等级---当括号中所给词是形容词或副词且空格处需要的仍是形容词或副词时，很可能填该词的比较级（或最高级）。

注意考察到的省略了than的最高级，善于分析语境。

【技巧四】词类转化---当空格处所需词类与括号中所给词的词类不同时，就需要词类转化。

1.做主语或宾语用名词形式

2.做定语、表语或补足语用形容词形式

3.修饰动词、形容词或另一副词，作状

The gestures of the head play a key role in body language. The movements of eyes and eyebrows are as important as head movements in body language.
