W: Hello?
M: Is that you, Paula? Sorry to call you so late, but I really feel awful about what happened tonight. ⑧I wanted to apologize for embarrassing you in the restaurant.
W: I felt bad enough when ⑨I spilled soup all over your jacket. You didn’t have to yell at me in front of everyone.
M: I know, Paula. It wasn’t your fault. I apologize. Will you forgive me?
W: Yes, I forgive you. But you have to watch your temper.

W: Your body clock probably hasn’t been adjusted to your new schedule. I’ve read that some people have a lot of trouble when their sleep rhythm is interrupted.
M: I know. In fact I’ve heard there are now several special treatment centers for people with sleeping problems. Some sleep too much while some sleep too little. Some even walk in their sleep.
W: I’d like to find out how they treat these problems. Maybe you should go to one of those centers.
M: Not me!

Recently, the so-called “Chinese style of crossing the road” has evoked heated discussions. It is a phenomenon describing a group of pedestrians crossing the street regardless of the red light and vehicles.
This is really a common phenomenon that can be seen in many cities of China . However, you can never ignore the dangers it brings. First of all, running the red light, the group of people severely disturb the normal traffic, which as a consequence, breaks the traffic rules. Next, it’s a danger both to yourself and the others. If the drivers are careless, the pedestrians may be injured or even killed. Last but not the least, Chinese style of crossing the road is widely regarded as lack of social morals.
As far as I am concerned, people’s traffic safety awareness of the public remains to be heightened. Besides, strict measures should be taken to standardize Chinese people’s style of crossing the road.
