非谓语Being done

本题考查find+宾+补，seat与sit用法区别，with+宾+补,以及fix one's eyes短语的变换形式。解题方法和过程：

1. 用来表达“坐在何处”时，我们应说： sb be seated at/on... 或 sb be sitting at/on...

 (因为seat为及物动词，表示“（人）使（另一人）坐下”； sit为不及物动词，表示“（人）坐下” ）

题干意思为“我发现他坐在桌边”，因此，可以判断出 A B C D 四个选项前一空都对；

2. with + 宾+ doing/being done/ done /to do 

一般来说，到底用非谓语动词的哪一种形式作宾补。要看宾语与do 之间的逻辑关系与do 的发生时间

doing 表主动，正在进行；being done 表被动，正在进行；

done 表被动，已经完成；

to do 表即将做/被做（主动表被动）

此句中，“他的眼睛盯着电脑屏幕”虽然在汉语中也可说成“正盯着......”

但fix 的基本用法为“sb fix ...on ...”意思为"人使(目光，精力等)集中在...上. "

若用C being fixed 构成 "with his eyes being fixed "则表示“目光正被集中在...”"正在使目光集中在...."

汉语中绝对不会这样表达，因为“盯着=正盯着”本身就是一种（正在进行/存在的）状态，用 "with his eyes fixed " 就完全可以表达出这个“正盯着”的意思了。而用"with his eyes being fixed "反而是画蛇添足，弄巧成拙，不符合英语表达习惯。

 那么，是不是没有“with ... being done”结构呢？ 有！

那么，它与“with ... done”又有何区别呢？

下面举一例说明。

1 With my homework being done ,I can't go out to play. (正在被做)

2 With all my homework finished, I can go out to play.（全部被做完）

3 With a lot of homework to do, I can't go out to play.（即将被做）

4 With you helping me, I can finish my homework in a few minutes.（正在帮助）

5 With you to help me , I can finish my homework in a few minutes.（即将帮忙）

其实，现在分词的四种形式在句子中的功能不尽相同：

doing 定 状 补 表

being done 定 状 补

  having done 状

having been done 状 

其中最难把握的是being done 的用法。下面对其用法详细总结：

a，做后置定语，表“正在被...”

   注意与done ,to do/to be done做定语的区别：

   done  做定语表“已被....”;

  to do/to be done做定语表“即将/即将被...”

例见以上前三例。

b  作状语                                                                                                                                                                                                          being done 做状语，表“由于...正在被....”，一般置于句首；

 注意与being + adj., adj. 短语， 过去分词短语作状语相区别：

being + adj 做状语，表“由于.... 处于....状态”，一般置于句首；

过去分词短语作状语，相当于being + adj 做状语,表状态，一般置于句首；

adj. 短语做状语，表 伴随状态，一般置于句末；

 e.g.

 Being painted, the house looks like a mess. (由于正在被漆)

Being poor, hte boy can't go to school. （由于穷）（“处于...状态”而非“正在...”）

Engaged in his work, he didn't notice my entering.(由于忙于...)（“处于...状态”而非“正在被...”，相当于busy in...)

  (Addicted to the film, Lost in thought,  Devoted to his work, Busried in he books,等同理)

He was born blind/dumb/noble/disabled.

He came back alive/sound and safe/tired and hungry. (伴随状态)

简而言之，做状语时，being done 表动作，而being + adj ，adj.短语，过去分词短语都表状态。

c 做补语

主要区别 being done 与 done 做 补语的不同：

与作状语的区别类似，being done 表“正在被....”(动作)(必须是延续动词）

而done 表“已经被...”或“处于某状态”（动作结果或状态）（可以是延续或短暂动词）

e.g.

With such an important issue being discussed, I couldn't leave ahead of time.

With the most important issues discussed, I decided to leave ahead of time.

I saw my son being beaten by that rude man.

I saw my son beaten by that rude man.

With my glasses broken, I had to buy a new pair.

综上所述，being done 无论做定状还是补语，都强调“正在被....”强调动作；

done 做定状补表时则表示“已经被...”或“处于...状态（形容词化的那些词如addicted, tired,等）”，强调动作结果或状态。
