My View on Some Problems in China’s Higher Educati

Learning from the article of Ernest Boyer, we all realized that higher education can make a difference in the intellectual and personal lives of its students. With the comprehensive development of society, china has made great progress in higher education. However,there are still many problems we need to care and overcome.

First of all, independent innovation should be greatly encouraged. Traditional higher education misled its students and made them convinced that it is the most important to get high points.As we all know,at a time in life when values should be shaped and personal priorities sharply probed,what a tragedy it would be if the most creative moments were pushed to the fringes of our institutional life.Without innovation and intellectual property,the development of china’s higher education can not be sustainable. As for an educator, it is more significant to stimulate the creativity of the undergraduate rather than teaching the professional knowledge only.

Secondly,Unemployment rate of graduates has increased quickly.on the one hand,downward pressure on the economy may be the culprit. On the other hand,the higher education may be responsible for the situation. Graduates with professional knowledge failed to meet the demand of enterprises,which reflects the shortcomings of higher education. As for an advanced academy,it is necessary to catch the demand of companies timely and develop the corresponding training programs for the undergraduate.

Thirdly,the quality of the undergraduate education should be enhanced.Only when graduates are equipped with the comprehensive ability, can they be more competitive in diversified society. Enhancement of cultural quality, moral quality, professional quality and physical and psychological quality of the undergraduate should be combined together organically. In other words, passing on knowledge, training capacities and improving quality should be mixed and strengthened well.

Ultimately,the centralized management system of higher education should be reformed. In the system, We should smooth the relationship among government, society and universities,setting up and perfecting a new system in which the state is responsible for the overall planning and macroscopic management.while the universities follow the laws and enjoy the autonomy to provide education according to needs of the society.
