Stand up 

A father is worried for his children. Because he has the 15-year-old son, but that is not manly. Thus, a Zen master to visit his father and asked him to train their children. 

Three months later, his father came to pick the children. Arrangements for children and a Zen master karate coach for a game to demonstrate that three months of training results. 

Coach a hand, the children will go down. He stood up to meet the challenge, but it was down right away. He would also stand up ... ... so repeatedly on a total of 16 times. 

Zen Master asked his father: "Do you think your child's performance enough masculinity?" 

Father said: "I could die of shame! I did not expect him to come here for training of 3 months to see the result is not his fight, a dozen were on the back." 

Zen Master said: "I am sorry, you only see the surface of the outcome. You have not seen your son immediately fell down and stand up to the courage and perseverance it? This is a real macho ah!" 

Stand up as long as one more than the fall, that is success! 

站起来

一位父亲很为他的孩子苦恼。因为他的儿子已经十五岁了，可是一点男子气概都没有。于是，父亲去拜访一位禅师，请他训练自己的孩子。

3个月后，父亲来接孩子。禅师安排孩子和一个空手道教练进行一场比赛，以展示这3个月来的训练成果。

教练一出手，孩子便应声倒下。他站起来继续迎接挑战，但马上又被。他就又站起来……就这样来来回回一共16次。

禅师问父亲：“你觉得你孩子的表现够不够男子气概？”

父亲说：“我简直羞愧死了！想不到我送他来这里受训了3个月，看到的结果是他这样不经打，被人一打就倒。”

禅师说：“我很遗憾，你只看到表面的胜负。你有没有看到你儿子倒下去立刻又站起来的勇气和毅力呢？这才是真正男子气概啊！”

只要站起来比倒下去多一次，就是成功！

Magical Function of Poetry
