新目标七年级英语unit7说课稿

Good morning, everyone! I am No.____.I’ll say the first lesson of Unit 7 What does he look like? from 4 parts.

   Part 1 Analysis of teaching material

   The main function of this unit is describing people’s looks. It’s related to the daily life. It’s very useful. This lesson is the first lesson of this unit , it’ll lay a foundation for future studying.

   According to the teaching material and the students’ knowledge levels and characters, I establish the following teaching aims:

   Knowledge goals: master the words and sentences that describe people’s appearance.

   Ability goals: enable students to describe people’s looks. Improve the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

   Moral goals: enable students to know more about people around us and communicate better with others.

   The key point is to use the target language to describe people’s appearance.

   The difficult points are the words and the usage of is/has. 

   To attain the aims, I’ll try to build more situations and let the students learn by using, learn for using. The Task-based teaching methods, learning paper, multi-media will be used in this lesson.

   Part 2 How to guide the students to learn by themselves before class.

   There is a saying: If you give a man a fish, he can eat fish today. If you teach him how to fish, he can eat fish for a lifetime. So it’s very important to get the students into the habit of learning by themselves before class. I’ll use the learning paper to help the students to preview and check some of the papers before class to find out what is difficult for the students. I’ll give the students tow tasks before class.

   Task 1 Try reading the new words and finish 1a;

   Task 2 Ask the students to complete the questionarire:What does your best friend look like? (  ) To complete the questionnaire, the students will learn the content of this unit actively .

   Part 3 Teaching precedures

   Step 1 Lead in the target language by telling a detective story on CAI. Let the students find out which is the girl the man is looking for according to the description.

(leading in the target language in this way can attract the students’ attention and the students can understand the target language in a real situations.)

   Step 2 Presentation

     Check the learning paper and ask the students to show what they have learned.

   Task 1 Ask some students to read words. Play the tape to correct the pronunciation. Then show dome pictures to help the students memorize the words and phrases.

   Task 2 Ask some students: What does your best friend look like? Help them to answer according to their questionnaires. Then ask the students to ask and answer in pairs. At last ask some pairs to act.

(To check how the students learned before class and make sure what I should pay attention to next.)

   Step 3 Listening. Teach the students some listening strategies.

   Play the tape for the students to listen and finish 1b. Show some pictures for students to describe. Then play the tape to listen to 2a and 2b. Check the answers.

   Ask the students to discuss in groups : How to use is/has   

( To train the students’ abilities of listening, speaking ,thinking and cooperation.)

Step 4 Reading.

   Ask the students to work in pairs to complete the conversation in 3a. Then get them to read to recite it. 

(Get the students accumulate enough information and lay the foundation of using the target language freely.)

 Step 5 Guessing game

   Work in groups to describe the classmates one by one,ask other students to guess who he /she is.

( Give the students more chances to using the target language)

Part 4 Assessment 

To test how the students learned, I’ll arrange tow tasks.

Task 1 Do some exercises like completing sentences and making choices.

Task 2 Write a composition to describe a person you like.

(To train the students the ability of writing.)
