Teaching objectives:
●Knowledge objectives:
a. New words:ball, tennis, ping-pong, bat, soccer, soccer ball, volleyball, basketball, do, have.
b. New sentence patterns: - Do you have a ...?
- Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
●Ability objectives:
Students will learn to ask and answer questions about ownership with the new sentence structure.
●Moral objectives:
a. Students will improve their interest in sports by learning sports words.
b. Students will cultivate the team spirit through conversation practice.
Teaching keys and difficulties:
●Students will try to memorize and use the new words.
●Students can use “- Do you have a … ?” and the short answers to make conversations.

Teaching aids:
Some sports things, a tape player, a ruler
Teaching procedures:
Step1. Lead-in
1. T: “ Do you know Yao Ming, Lin Dan or David Beckham?” Then help students answer they’re sports players, especially playing balls.
2. Point to the sports things on the teaching desk and ask, “What are they?” to elicit the new words to be learnt.
Step2. Presentation I (new words)
1.Students go through the new words by themselves.
2.Teach the new words with the aid of the real objects. (The pronunciation, spelling, word of speech, reference.)
3.Read after the teacher and then read in groups.
Step3. Practice I (new words)
1.Chain work. Students will read loudly the new words one by one.
2.Quick response. Teacher shows a certain object and students are asked to give the English quickly.
3.Work on 1a and then check answers.
Step4. Presentation II (new sentence patterns)
1.Teacher puts a soccer ball on the teaching desk. Then ask and answer ( T to ss )
“ What’s this?” “ What color is it?” “ Where’s it?” “Is this your soccer ball?” In this way, they have done some review and got warmed up.
2.T: OK, this is my soccer ball. Do you have a soccer ball?”
Then help the students answer “Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.” to elicit the new sentence pattern.
3.Students read after the teacher 3 times.
Step5. Listening practice (1b)
1.Listen to the tape and circle the things heard.
2.Check the answers and then listen again and repeat after the tape player.
Step6. Production
1.Have the students read 1c by themselves and then do group role play.
2.Pair work. Students work in pairs to practice the conversations, talking about things in 1a or their own ones.
3.Ask some pairs to act out the conversations.
Step7. Summary
Let the students summarize what we’ve learnt in this period.
Step8. Assignments
1.Copy and memorize the new words and sentence patterns.
2.Finish the exercise book accordingly.
教学反思
该部分学习内容贴近学生的生活,谈论的主题符合学生喜爱运动的心理,本节课我借助了实物展示来学习球类单词,直观形象,学生易于接受和识记,极易于激发学生学习英语的欲望和兴趣,使他们乐于参与各种英语实践活动。这节课重在通过使用动词have对物品的所属进行提问和回答的交流式口语活动,学习由助动词do引导的一般疑问句的构成以及回答,利用实物或图片等来展开课堂Pair work问答式的口语交际活动,通过使用have对物品的所属进行提问及回答,使学生学会使用do引导的一般疑问句。
课堂氛围和谐,师生合作,生生合作方式多样,效果明显,学生参与性强。但同时存在一些问题,例如由于疏忽,没有及时纠正在学习新单词 “do” 时学生的一个知识性错误。其次有部分学生过早掉队,造成两极分化的现象的隐忧,以及笔头练习能力薄弱的问题。
