“Really?”
“Of course. It is said a fish head is good for brain. If you eat one, you’ll become cleverer indeed. Pay only three pounds for one fish head.” The boy paid him three pounds and the fisherman cut off a fish head and handed it to him.
A raw fish head is not good—not even for a hungry boy to eat but the boy ate it up in two gulps.
“Do you feel anything?” asked the fisherman.
“Not in my head,” said the boy.
The boy lay on the ground and thought. “One whole fish costs only two pounds. I had paid him three pounds for the fish head. Some simple keys to transform your life
The power of choices.
Every one of us makes countless choices every day. Every choice we make has an impact on our lives. 36________When hunger strikes, we can reach for a healthy, nutritious snack, or we can choose the sugar high of junk food. The more important the decision, the greater its effect. For instance, how do I act towards that person who treated me badly? Do I generally choose to be passive,or do I actively set clear intentions and create what I want in my life? Every choice we make, however big or small, affects us in some way.
37.________
If you are interested in living a richer, fuller life, there is a foundation upon which you can base all of your decisions which can make life better not only for you, but also for those around you. This foundation is to choose based on what's best for all. Imagine a world where every parent, friend, teacher, business person, and politician truly did their best to choose what's the best for all involved in every decision they made. We would certainly live in a more caring, supportive world.
It's the intention.
38.________The answer is simple. It doesn't matter. The matter itself is not the choice you make, but rather the intention behind your choice. The key is that what decision you make. You are clear in your intention of choosing based on what's the best for all. If it later turns out that you seem to have made a bad choice, there's no need for guilt. Knowing that you did your best to choose with a sincere desire for what's the best for all, your conscience stays clear and open. 39.________
What's the best for me, too?

Another example, a very exhausted mother can lose her temper easily and then she may become ill so that she can't support her family without earning any money.40.________ So as we move through each day of our lives, let us learn to care about ourselves as we do our best to choose what's the best for others.
A.How do you make choices?
B.Discuss them together to choose your project.
C.But how do I know what is really the best?
D.What is important is that we should pay attention to this presence.
E.So it is very important for you to take good care of yourself.

书面表达
One possible version:
Every student may feel it a little difficult to improve listening ability in English learning. Now I want to share some experience with everybody. I hope it can help you in a way.
First, listening skills and methods are very important. And I think you may turn to your teachers and classmates in time when necessary. Besides, don’t always practice listening only, because listening and speaking are tightly connected. Only if your oral English is perfect is your listening ability perfect, too. So you need to practice listening and speaking at the same time. Third, make full use of all the resources of listening around you, such as listening to songs on the radio or the Internet and so on. They often play an important part in improving your listening ability.
