教学目标：

1、能够在语境中理解生词his, friendly, strong的意思，并能正确发音；

2、能够在语境中理解人称代词he, she 和形容词性物主代词his, her.

3、能够在图片和教师的帮助下理解对话大意； 能够用正确的语音、语调朗读对话，并能进行角色表演.

4、能够在情景中运用句型What’s his/her name? His/Her name is … 询问并回答某人的姓名，并能在情景中恰当运用功能句He’s/She’s tall and … 描述人的外貌特征。

5、乐于感知并积极尝试使用英语，在小组活动中能与其他同学积极配合和合作；

教学流程：

Warming up:

1 Have a chant:  We are friends.  

2 Free talks: What’s your name?

  Who’s this boy?

  Who’s this girl?

3 Review the words: tall   short   thin   long   big   small

Presentation:

Show the picture of the dialogue. Ask the Ss to answer the questions.

  1 How many people do you see in the picture?

  2 Who are they?

  3 What are they talking about?

Watch the video. Think about the questions:

  1 Who is his new friend?

  2 What’s his name?

Read the books. Find the sentences that describe Zhang Peng.

Teach the new words: strong, Friendly.

Practice:

Retell the dialogue. Give an example first.

Listen an follow the tape.

Read the dialogue in pairs.

Role-play.

Play a game. Introduce and guess.

 Production:

Suppose you have a new friend from UK. Can you introduce him/her to your family? Make a new dialogue in groups.

Ask some group to act out the new dialogue.

Summary:

Finish the test of the learning scheme.

Homework:

Read the dialogue.

Introduce your friend to your family.

Write down two sentences about your friend.
