1.arrange v.整理;安排,筹划

   arrange for sb to do sth

2.desert:  vt. 抛弃，遗弃  

 n. 沙漠 in the desert 

deserted   adj. 被离弃的，废弃的，荒芜的

3.rough  adj  粗糙的, 大致的， 汹涌的

4.protection n. /u/保护; 防卫/c/ 防护物

1. doing/done + be +主语

2.介词短语在句首时

  3.表示地点、方位等副词放于句首时

    Eg. 一只老虎跑出来。

       他跑出来。

  部分倒装：

  1. 否定词或否定短语在句首时

6.advance

in advance预先 = ahead of time/schedule

You must pay for the book in advance.

adj.  advanced 先进的，高级的

7.supply  v. 提供 ( supplied)

supply sth to sb.    

   supply sb with sth.

   The school supplies books to the children.

   = The school supplies the children with books.

8.defence   n. 保卫, 防卫, 辩护

in defence of sb =in sb’s defence为...辩护; 捍卫

9.scare   n.  惊恐; 大恐慌; 惊吓v.  惊吓, 使恐惧; 把...吓出来; 把...吓跑; 受惊

   scare sb away/off将某人吓跑

   scare sb into/out of sth/doing sth吓得某人做[不敢做]某事

   frighten/scare sb to death 使某受惊吓，吓得要死

   He scares easily. 他动不动就害怕.

She moved quietly to avoid scaring the birds away.

Scared  adj.  be scared of sth/ sb/ doing

16.wander  vi.漫步, , 闲逛；走神  vt.漫步于

17.surround v. 

surround sb/sth  with 围绕，包围

be surrounded by/with 被—环绕，包围

Our house was surrounded by trees.

surrounding adj[作定语] 周围附近的:

  Beijing and the surrounding countryside.

   surroundings n [pl]   环境:

18.harmony n. 协调, 调和, 和睦

Be in harmony和睦的; 一致的

Be in / out of harmony with—    与—（不）协调

His tastes are in harmony with mine.

live in harmony with nature 与自然和睦相处

peace and harmony 和平与和谐

harmonious  adj. 和睦的,和谐的,音调优美的
